We have our own workshop, where a wide range of specialist work is carried out professionally and
promptly by Natalie's father.
This includes all jewellery repairs to antique or modern jewellery, precious
and semi-precious stone replacements, alterations and restorations.
We also undertake most stone re-cutting and polishing work, to rejuvenate
old or damaged stones.
A little more about us
The current owner, Natalie Symes, and her family have owned and run jewellery
shops locally for over 40 years.
Our first Highcliffe shop was opened in the mid 1970s, and was named C & K Jewellers
(based on the current owner's parents initials). The shop is fondly remembered by many long standing loyal customers, and is now the Similan Thai restaurant.
Following a period running a jewellery shop in Christchurch, Natalie's parents returned to Highcliffe in 1987, and opened Gemworld, a former greengrocers at 353 Lymington Road. Natalie's mother later opened
a jewellers in New Milton, also called Gemworld, and in 1993 Natalie took over Gemworld Highcliffe, renamed it Crystal World, and has been the proprietor ever since.
Many other jewellers have come and gone in the years since, but Crystal
World flourishes in an increasingly competitive world because our customers
like our good traditional customer service, our sound advice, our wide
range of quality goods, and our value for money prices. Many discerning
customers prefer to see and handle the products, rather than buy from shopping
channels and the internet.
So despite the High Street changing beyond recognition, Crystal World maintains
traditional values, whilst keeping up with modern demands.
